There is something for everyone who wants to be a part of the drama program at Trinity, from creation of the set and costumes, to singing, dancing and acting. Students start with drama classes in third grade focusing on basic theater knowledge. We encourage the students to continue with drama all the way to the Middle School.
During their time at Trinity, students are invited to perform at Chapel, Variety Shows, Christmas and Spring concerts, as well as special events throughout the year.
Each year, Trinity presents a Spring Musical comprised of 6th to 8th grade students. Auditions are held during the winter season and rehearsals begin in January. Each week the students focus on a different scene and musical number as they prepare for the presentation. This past year we celebrated our 17th show, the first one in our new space, Heritage Hall, with brand new lighting and sound. The students work hard to produce a product that they are proud to call their own using their talents to glorify God.
The drama program encourages the students to work together as a team increasing their self-esteem, confidence and character. Through drama, students develop better communication skills and focus on creativity through problem solving. Drama challenges the students to become leaders and more importantly, it teaches students to be active learners in any subject area and to give students a better understanding of the world.
