NEW NAME ANNOUNCEMENT!! TRINITY LUTHERAN CHRISTIAN SCHOOL & EARLY LEARNING CENTER

News

The name of the school and child care, just like our name, provides a description of what an institution stands for; a summary statement of their attributes.Today, many parochial schools use the name of a church

and their buildings, but are operated by an independent organization which may not be Christian in purpose. The school and child care of Trinity are a ministry of the congregation and are operated only by the congregation. Therefore, even though Lutheran is Christian in origin and intention, the School Board wants to leave no doubt in the mind of anyone about their purpose., hence from now on, with the State Board of Education approval, our new name will be: Trinity Lutheran Christian School. The School Board has also adopted a new name for our child care center which is more expressive of their mission: Early Learning Center. The reasoning for this change is: In this day and age families are looking for quality education for their child at a very early age. State guidelines have also mandated that Early Learning Centers provide preschool age children with state approved curriculums. The public sectors have also created guidelines of what a preschooler should know prior to entering Kindergarten. With all this said, changing the Trinity Child Care Center’s name to Early Learning Center will solidify what Trinity also offers; a secure, healthy, learning environment that meets the needs of the whole child. We sincerely hope you are enthusiastic and excited that our name changes more fully express the Christian purpose of our school and child care ministries.
